B"H (with God's help) TO GOOD LUCK "Will rise and grow like the moist manna from the good God" "and he said the adhesion was good" "he who found a wife found good" "and we shall invoke God's good will"

This event from beginning to end will provide good name and survivors (descendants who propagate your name?) And these are the conditions and covenant that were spoken and agreed between the two sides, i.e. :

On one side H"H (respectable sir?) the youth Mr. Yaakov Kopel son of MO"H (our teacher, the Rabbi) Mordechai Ari' (Arieh = Loeb = lion) Z"L (blessed be his memory) who stands for the side of (=represents) himself .

On the second side the Rabbi MO"H (our teacher, the rabbi) Avraham N"I (let his candle illuminate = let him live long) who stands for the side of (=represents) his daughter the bride (xx??) Golda

KV' (the honorable) H"H (respectable sir?) The youth Mr. Yaakov Kopel MH"L (?) Will marry LMZ"T (to good luck) BSHTU"M (in good and successful time) the virgin Ms. Golda N"I (let her candle illuminate), the above mentioned one, in chupa and kiddushin (=sanctification) and ktubba (marriage contract) according to the rules of Moses and Israel and they should not hide and should not conceal, not he from her and not she from him, any property in the world, but they will rule their properties as equals and dwell (?) together in love and brotherhood and peace and friendship "in the way of all the land" (=like everybody else? As in common practice?).

The obligations from the bridegroom side are as usual. The obligations from the bride side are as (xxx xx"x xx"x) in half (?)

Now comes what is probably a legal clause in Arameic claiming that this contract is binding and kosher.

This day hbhr (bright? Or some abbreviation) L"G Baomer (the 33rd day counting from the beginning of Passover, which is the only day in the 7 weeks of the omer between Passover and Shavuot when weddings are allowed) I"CH EEYAR (18th of the month of Eeyar, about May) the year THRTS"CH (400+298 = (5000 implied) 5698 = 1938 a.d.) xxxxx xxx xxx (possibly the location?)

Has spoken Mr. Moshe Yaakov B"R (son of rabbi) (xxxx) the Cohen witness has spoken Dov (=bear) bearish shamash (shamesh, shemesh, shimesh last name, or position in synagogue or "served as") witness
